Every Film is a Series of Paintings
Any fan of cinema will enjoy this very well done YouTube series that shows how great filmmakers (and some, not-so-great) tell stories with their visuals. The writing is excellent, the voice-over by Zhou engaging (so many YouTube videos are ruined by terrible VO) and the subject matter terrific. I mean, who wouldn't want to learn more about Fincher, Spielberg, the Coen Brothers or Kurosawa (my favorite). There's even a bit about Michael Bay that offers so much insight into why he does what he does and why it is both skillful and terrible. Here's the Kurosawa video.
